COEX Convention Center
Renovated and reopened in May 200, Seoul COEX(Convention & Exhibition) Center has been the venue for many important international meetings and conferences, including the 3rd Asia Europe Meeting(ASEM), the APEC Conference of Tourism Ministers, and the International Geographical Congress. It also served as the International Media Center for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan and it will be the site of 10 grand-scale international conventions in 2003. COEX has three huge exhibition halls with nearly 400,000 square feet. The cnter meeting rooms, which provide 185,000 square feet of space, can be configured into as many as 89 meeting rooms. COEX is the nucleus of the World Trade Center Seoul(WTCS), consisting of the 55-story trade tower, the Korea City Air Terminal, ASEM Tower, two first-class hotels, a department store, plus the multipurpose entertainment venue, COEX Mall.
